Thanks for Supporting Invoke and the Vancouver Blogathon

clockSaturday, July 26th, 2008 Blogathon, invoke | Leave a Comment

Well that’s it. We did it!! 24 long hours, 48 posts, and countless cups of coffee later we have completed the 1st Annual Vancouver Blogathon for Charity. I am thrilled that we participated and that we were able to do so much for such a good cause in such a short period of time. It is definitely worth the lack of sleep that I’m feeling at the moment.

As I’m sure you are aware if you follow our blog, this is Invoke’s first entry into the first Annual Vancouver Blogathon. A group of Vancouver’s top bloggers have gotten together to use our blogging skills and blog reach to do some good - as a group, we are supporting charities that help people from downtown Vancouver to families in small communities in Africa. We will be publishing a blog post every 30 minutes for the next 24 hours. Yes that is right, you will be treated to 48 wonderful posts from Invoke.

Vancouver’s first annual blogathon for charity is set to start 10 pm Friday, July 26 and will finish 9 pm Sunday, July 28. This may be the first Vancouver specific blogathon, but it flows from a long tradition of blogathons. When the people who organized the previous blogathons could not organize it this year, Rebecca - Vancouver’s Miss604 - stepped in and organized this years event.
