clockFriday, March 23rd, 2007

IndieMV has launched the viral video competition for Vancouver-based band, Art of Dying. Noted by Classic Rock Magazine as being “one of the top 15 bands to watch in 2007”, this underground rock band has been acclaimed by media across Canada and into Europe and has been featured on Global TV’s “Making the Cut and ABC’s Falcon Beach series. Now the band is making moves to include the public in their burst to fame by asking them to create a music video for their single, ‘Completely’ in this viral video contest.

IndieMV has created an online system for artists to upload their music videos increasing exposure while providing them with a platform to network with artists, bands and labels. Hosting this contest for indie rock band, Art of Dying, allows the band to interact with their fans and supporters while generating creative content for their video release to be hosted on IndieMV once the winner has been chosen.

Participants can download the song ‘Completely’ from IndieMV and create a video to launch on the net. Web infamy, and a space for the filmmaker to showcase their art may warrant enough incentive for both videographers and music buffs wanting to align themselves with one of Canada’s most vibrant bands of the year. However, winning prizes for generating the most viewer feedback and votes features a new Macbook or HD Canon video camera. The contest is now open to submissions, and will continue until it reaches 50 videos upon which voting will continue for 60 days.
