Nau Closes its Doors

This is a less than excellent day in the world of sustainable companies. For those who dont know, Nau was founded by ex-Patagonia and ex-Nike executives with the goal of creating a world class sustainable outdoor apparel company whose ideals fused those of their previous employers.

World Changing has the details posted and you can read up on the how’s and why’s of the companies failure. Many excellent things can come from a failure as long as you pick yourself up and get back to work on enabling your vision. Lets hope the great people who worked at Nau can do this.

And if you happen to have several million dollars kicking around and want to come to the aid of a great company I’m sure there is an opportunity to do so.

The Register reports on FHD’s proposed new brand for the UK Office of Government Commerce and its received some interesting feedback. Seen right-side up the logo looks fine:
