Web Developer
Description
We're looking for a talented LAMP developer to join our team! We're an interactive agency based just east of Gastown in Vancouver, and expanding to service a growing client base. If you have the skills and want to be a part of a team developing award winning products and projects for the Web, we want to talk to you!
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Back and front-end development for our up-and-coming market leading products
- Object oriented programming and design knowledge as well as full project life cycle development skills
- Leading your team to ensure deliverables and expectations are met
- Working knowledge of relational databases, specifically MySQL, and basic database optimization concepts
- Finding creative ways to enhance our product features while writing less code
- Ability to go beyond the predefined technologies and suggest new tools
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- 3+ years experience with HTML, XHTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
- 3+ years experience with web services or general web-based applications
- Working knowledge of Facebook Connect, OpenID/OAuth, log processing/reporting, REST
- Working knowledge of open source content management systems (Drupal, WordPress)
- Knowledge of social media platforms, Mobile, Video and Web 2.0 technologies
- Experience with TRAC, SVN or other version control systems
- Familiarity with Agile development / Scrum method of project management
- Equally comfortable working in Linux and Windows
- A great sense of humour
Nice to Have
- Experience with HTML5, JSON, JQuery
- Experience with Zend, Cake, or other frameworks
- Some knowledge of Flash, ActionScript
- Any specific experience with C#, Objective C, iPhone app development
