Get Schooled National Challenge & Tour Wrap-Up

We’ve had such a wonderful time working with the Get Schooled Foundation in 2010 – from the launch of the website and Step Up campaign to the memelabs video contest we launched in conjunction with the MSN series, The Tastemaker. Every step of the way, Get Schooled has worked towards their mission to improve attendance, graduation and college entry rates of high schoolers across America.

Social Viewing Companion: Top Gear's Gone Social

Last month, one of the most highly-anticipated TV shows, Top Gear, made its way to the U.S., airing on The History Channel. After years of success in the UK, the American Top Gear premier made a splash by working with Invoke to launch its first “social TV” experience.

A German in Canada, Through the Eyes of Social Media

Germany is a welcoming country as much as Germans are busy travelers ourselves. That might be one of the reasons that brought me to Vancouver straight after my degree. Here I found shelter with Invoke Media’s Social Media Team. At some point I was asked what is different between the German approach to Social Media and the Canadian way. It was hard to answer that question just right away but I think there are slight differences; and a general conclusion.

Friday Night Feats Winners Announced!

Yesterday, the State Farm Friday Night Feats contest announced its winners. The memelabs-powered contest, which launched on August 27th, was a video contest from State Farm® that honors great plays in high school football and awarded over $160,000 in prize money to the winners. Schools across the U.S. and parts of Canada submitted videos of their game-changing plays and highlights and the winning school was Holy Trinity Catholic, of Cornwall, Ontario.

Study: Americans Spend Equal Time Online and Watching TV

According new study, released this week by Forrester, shows that the average American spends equal time online as watching TV. While this hasn’t affected the time people are spending watching TV (which has remained pretty consistent over the past few years), U.S. households are spending 121% more time online since 2005, with Generation X (ages 31-44) and younger Baby Boomers (ages 45-54) leading the way.
